Problem
I cannot log in to iRIS application.
Pre-requisite
You must have an iRIS account. If you don't have an iRIS account, you can request one by visiting https://ohsrp.helpdesk.nih.gov/ (need to be connected to the NIH network)
iRIS uses the NIH Login to authenticate users. The NIH Login allows the use of the following credentials:
- Any U.S. Federal Government PivCard / Pin. NIH users can also log in with their NIH user name and password.
- Research Organizations that are part if the InCommon Federation - https://www.incommon.org/federation/incommon-federation-participants/
- Social Logins such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook, PayPal
Solution
- If you have a bookmark for the NIH iRIS, make sure the URL is https://irb.nih.gov . Other URLs will cause login problems.
- Clear the browser cache and close all browser tabs/windows.
- Open Task Manager and make sure the browser is not running.
- Attempt to log in again.
- For NIH users, contact the NIH Help Desk if your forgot your password or pin, or if your account or PivCard is locked.
