If you are being logged out of iRIS when you click on the Adobe PDF icon of a consent or documents, (you get one of these errors: iRIS_logout_issue_1.png iRIS_logout_issue_2.png ), this is most likely caused by a problem with the Adobe PDF Reader add-on in Internet explorer.
It is recommended to submit a ticket with the NIH Help Desk to have you Adobe Acrobat DC repaired, update or re-installed.
This is a known issue that could happen with some PDFs in iRIS when using Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Google Chrome built-in PDF viewers. This might also happen on the Mac when using Preview to view PDFs.
The PDF might not display certain signatures (for Signature PDFs) and/or not all pages are displayed.
It is recommended configuring Firefox and Google Chrome to use Adobe Acrobat instead of the built-in viewer.
On the Mac, also configure PDFs to be open in Adobe Acrobat instead of Preview or the built-in viewers.
