How to get an Account for New PROTECT Users


New Accounts for NIH Users Steps:

  • Request a new PROTECT account by submitting a ticket through our OHSRP ticketing system here: https://ohsrp.helpdesk.nih.gov/jira/servicedesk/customer/portal/5
  • Sign up for a New User PROTECT Training Session seen below in which the trainers will orient you to the PROTECT system.
  • The PROTECT team will verify you do not currently have an account and set up an account for you in our training environment.
  • The new user takes the New User Live Virtual training class. 
  • Once the new user has completed the training session the account will be created and the user will then be able to log into PROTECT and begin working in the system.

After a ticket is submitted to create your account for ALL NEW USERS, download the calendar invite for the New User PROTECT Training Session you wish to attend and accept the invite. This is how attendance will be tracked. The calendar invite will be removed 24 hours prior to the training date and registration will be closed.
